Our volunteer opportunities are centered around ‘Ksan Place, home of ‘Ksan Society’s Food Security Programming and community events. Volunteer shifts are varied, short, and as flexible as possible.
‘Ksan Place Community Greenhouse and Gardens - An accessible space open to all members of the community. The Share the Harvest volunteer program offers fresh produce in exchange for volunteer hours in the Community Gardens and Greenhouse. Volunteers work collectively throughout the whole garden, working on a wide range of tasks. Share the Harvest provides an opportunity to work outdoors, connect with food and nature, and enjoy connections with other community members. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.
Tuesday Lunch Program - This weekly free lunch is open to all - regardless of needs. Volunteers prepare and serve lunch, while also delivering meals to participants with limited mobility or transportation. Tuesday Lunch is a great opportunity to connect - for both participants and volunteers - with people from different walks of life.
Friday Food Share - Friday Food Share is a food security and food recovery program serving individuals and families facing food insecurity. Volunteers pack recovered and donated food items in Food Share Boxes, assist at Food Share pickup, and deliver boxes to those with limited mobility or transportation. Friday Food Share serves up to 70 households per week.

All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
‘Ksan Place is an accessible space. The building, greenhouse, and raised garden beds are wheelchair accessible.
We welcome groups from local businesses and organizations.

Volunteer Application Form - includes basic personal and emergency contact information, program interest.
Criminal Record Check - some of our locations are frequented by vulnerable individuals, therefore a vulnerable sector check is required.
Non-Disclosure Agreement - Volunteers may see confidential information.
